How do I cancel my Premium subscription?
Premium subscriptions are managed by the App Store. To cancel:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Find FutureDad in the list and tap it
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Your Premium access remains active until the end of the current billing period. You won't be charged again.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
If you have an active subscription and reinstall the app or switch to a new device:
- Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
- Open FutureDad
- Within the app, open the appropriate screen and tap Restore Purchases
If restoration doesn't work, email us with your Apple ID's email address and we'll investigate.
Where is my data stored?
Your habits, reminders, and progress are stored exclusively on your device and are never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app removes this data permanently.
We only collect pseudonymous analytics and subscription data through processors (PostHog, RevenueCat, Firebase). Details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my data?
Because most app data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it by:
- Uninstalling the app — removes all habits, reminders, and progress from your device
- Requesting deletion of pseudonymous analytics data — email us and we'll process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR
For full details on your data rights, see our Privacy Policy.
Why does the app need notification permission?
FutureDad uses notifications to deliver habit reminders at the times you choose. Without notification permission, the reminders feature won't work.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the iOS Settings → Notifications → FutureDad.
Is FutureDad a medical app?
No. FutureDad is a lifestyle and habit tracking app that supports men preparing for fatherhood. It does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment, or advice.
Always consult a qualified medical professional for health-related decisions, including questions about supplementation, nutrition, or fertility.
Why is the app for adults only?
FutureDad is intended exclusively for persons aged 18 or older. The app addresses topics related to preparation for parenthood, which are inherently adult subjects. This requirement is set out in our Terms of Use.
The app isn't working — what should I do?
Before contacting support, try the following:
- Force-quit and reopen the app (swipe up to close, then tap the icon)
- Restart your device
- Check that you're running the latest version of FutureDad (App Store → Updates)
- Make sure you're on a supported iOS version (iOS 15 or newer)
If the issue persists, email us with details: which screen, what you did, what happened, and ideally a screenshot.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds for App Store subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. To request one:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find the FutureDad purchase and select Request a Refund
Apple typically reviews refund requests within 24–48 hours.
